Le Ferrari, con Kimi (90 giri) e Felipe (85 giri), non cerca la prestazione, porta avanti il lavoro per il primo appuntamento di Melbourne.

A rischio il Gp di Valencia

L'associazione ambientalista Formula Verda afferma che le nuove strutture del circuito cittadino di Valencia (fortemente voluto da Bernie Ecclestone) ha un eccessivo impatto ambientale, e non è conforme alle normative ambientali europee.
Sembra che alcune zone in cui passeranno le monoposto siano zone a vincolo ambientale.
Il tutto si potrebbe risolvere con modifiche al tracciato, ma il rischio che la data salti è forte.

La nuova F430 versione GT

La 430 bio potrebbe forse definirsi un prodotto di nicchia, si è scelto il modello cabrio proprio per i californiani, che da soli rappresentano il 10% del mercato Ferrari.
Al contrario di quanto si possa pensare, questa forma di carburazione non diminuirà le prestazioni, al contrario, grazie alla miglior forza detonante del bio etanolo la 430 guadagna 10 cavalli pur abbassando i consumi del 5%.

La prima vittoria della Ferrari alla Mille Miglia

Quest'anno si festeggiano i 60 anni dalla prima vittoria della Ferrari alla leggendaria Mille Miglia.
Era il 1948, Ferrari schierò 6 vetture alla partenza di Brescia, e vinse con il toscano Clemente Biondetti (portando a 4 le sue vittorie nella classica di durata, record mai più battuto).
L'edizione del '48 divenne famosa anche per le gesta del mitico Tazio Nuvolari, in quella che sarebbe stata la sua ultima Mille Miglia. Nuvolari infiammò tutta l'Italia con una corsa travolgente. Mentre Biondetti partiva con una vettura chiusa (Ferrari 166S coupè Allemanno), il Nivola partì con una macchina scoperta (Ferrari 166 inter sport), rimanendo esposto alla violenta pioggia che cadde durante la gara.
La Gara di Nuvolari fu irresistibile. Al controllo di Roma era primo, e quasi alla fine della corsa, a Reggio Emilia, era ancora in testa.
L'asfalto umido e la sua guida aggressiva però fecero perdere alla sua Ferrari, un parafango, il cofano del motore, e si ruppe un perno di un ammortizzatore.
Prima di arrivare alla fine dovette ritirarsi lasciando la vittoria a Biondetti.
Triste scoprire che Enzo Ferrari aveva offerto la vettura coperta a Nuvolari, già molto malato e alla sua ultima Mille Miglia. Il mantovano però la rifiutò, allontanando così quella che sarebbe potuto essere il suo ultimo trionfo. Nel 1950 Nuvolari si ritirò definitivamente dalle corse. Morì l'11 agosto del '53.

Primi test della F2008 a Jerez

Oggi sono cominciati i test di Jerez. L'asfalto è umido. Da quest'anno il traction contol è proibito e le capacità dei piloti su pista viscida rendono i test molto interessanti. Davanti a tutti c'è Felipe Massa, seguito dal compagno Kimi Raikkonen.
Felipe ha fatto 21 giri contro i 14 di Kimi. il miglior tempo fatto segnare dal brasiliano è 1'29"001 nove decimi più veloce del compagno di squadra.
Per quanto riguarda la McLaren oggi hanno girato Kovalainen e il test driver DeLa Rosa senza far segnare tempi rilevanti.
Domani sarà una giornata intensa.
infatti ci sarà il "debutto" di Alonso alla Renault (che hoggi ha fatto girare Piquet jr con la macchina dello scorso anno in configurazione 2008) ma soprattutto Lewis Hamilton per un primo confronto diretto con i ferraristi.
